Dream, grow, and inspire. It’s a motto any of us would do well to live by. It’s also the motto of the Ampri Group, a real estate development and investment company that, since 1991, has spent just as much energy building our community as it has building homes.
Over the past four years, the Ampri Group has offered tremendous support to the Richmond Hospital Foundation, donating over $200,000 towards various projects and campaigns. This includes more than$60,000 to help with the Hospital’s Emergency Room expansion, in 2009, and over $100,000, in 2012, to purchase new equipment for stroke victims.
The company has been a Diamond Sponsor of the Richmond Hospital Foundation’s signature fundraising event, the Starlight Gala, since 2010. Meanwhile, Ampri Group CEO, Amit Sandhu, sits on three of the Foundation’s committees – for Special Events, the Starlight Gala, and the Foundation’s Golf Tournament.
But it isn’t only the Hospital that the company supports; it’s the entire community.
In 2007, after Anderson Elementary School’s playground was destroyed in an arson attack, the Ampri Group led a fundraising campaign to rebuild it, an effort that ultimately raised $100,000.
The company also invests in youth. Its “Dream Grow Inspire” scholarship, launched in 2011, is currently available to students at five Richmond secondary schools, with a new school being added every year. The scholarships, worth $1000, are awarded annually to one student at each of the eligible schools.
Last but far from least, the Ampri Group sponsors, and its CEO chairs, TiE Young Entrepreneurs Vancouver, a program that empowers youth to become the next generation of business and community leaders. It certainly sounds like they’ll be learning from the best.
